  • Fencing Local Law 2020

    Under section 3.16(2 & 2a) of the Local Government Act 1995, Local Governments are required to review their Local Laws every eight years.

    In February 2020 the Town sought public comment on the review of the Local Laws Relating to Fencing 2000. As a result of this review, the Council has proposed to replace this law with the Fencing Local Law 2020.

  • Penalty Units Local Law

    The Town of Victoria Park is proposing to make the Penalty Units Local Law 2020. This local law is made under the Local Government Act 1995 and sets the value of a penalty unit for other local laws.

  • Policy 261 - Sustainable Events

    A draft Sustainable Events Policy has been developed with an aim to reduce waste, improve resource recovery and promote sustainable transport options for events coordinated or approved by the Town of Victoria Park. The draft policy will apply to all Council-run events and Council-approved external events on Town land or in Town-owned facilities.

  • Higgins Park and Playfield Reserve Masterplan

    The Town is developing a masterplan for Higgins Park and Playfield Reserve with an aim to guide the short and long term revitalisation of the site.

  • Old Spaces, New Places - A new urban space for Albany Highway's west end

    Old Spaces, New Places (OSNP) is a program targeting locations within the Town that can be renewed and upgraded for greater community use and benefit. This is the third project to be progressed as part of the OSNP program and will be located along the western end of Albany Highway within Victoria Park.

  • LATHLAIN – No. 34 (Lot 1) Goddard Street – Playing of Matches at Lathlain Park

    The Town has received a development application for the playing of competitive football matches at Lathlain Park (also known as Mineral Resources Park).

  • LATHLAIN – 218 Great Eastern Highway (and adjoining properties) – Mixed Use Development

    The Town has received a development application for a Mixed Use development at the subject site. Please note that in addition to properties abutting Great Eastern Highway, the subject site includes properties along Cornwall Street (No 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14) and Maple Street (No 1, 3, 5 and 9).

  • Burswood Station East Planning Framework

    The Town has prepared a new draft planning framework for the Burswood Station East Precinct (“BSE Precinct”). The new planning framework will be the first step in facilitating redevelopment of the area to a vibrant, urban neighbourhood.
