The Town of Victoria Park is upgrading John Macmillan Park, outside of the library along Sussex St, with an aim to make the park friendlier, more interesting and safer for the community.

Under section 3.16(2 & 2a) of the Local Government Act 1995, Local Government Authorities are required to review their Local Laws every eight years.

The Town of Victoria Park proposes to review its Dog Local Law to determine whether or not it should be repealed or amended.

In accordance with Section 6.36 of the Local Government Act 1995, notice is hereby given of the intention by the Town of Victoria Park to adopt the following rates in the dollar for Gross Rental Value and minimum payments for each of the following differential categories in the 2018-2019 financial year.

Signs within the Town are currently controlled by the Town’s Signs Local Law 2006, Town Planning Scheme No. 1 and a number of Local Planning Policies.

Waste management is one of the most significant municipal services provided by the Town of Victoria Park. Including the recovery of resources, waste management is an important element of environmentally sustainable practices managed by the Town.

The Town of Victoria Park Library is undertaking an operational review

Town of Victoria Park Town Planning Scheme (TPS 1) was gazetted on 30 September 1998. The TPS 1 Scheme Text defines various general terms and land uses and outlines their permissibility within the different zones within the Town.

In partnership with the Town of Victoria Park and Reconciliation Australia, the Aboriginal Engagement Strategy Group embarked on the development of the first Reconciliation Action Plan.

Building on the concept plan, the Town is now progressing the next element of the design project, which is detailed design for the river edge treatment

With endorsement by the Council on the 10th of October 2017, the Town commenced a formal marketing camping to invite offers for the sale of 12 Lathlain Place, Lathlain.
