The Town of Victoria Park is undertaking a review of its Local Planning Policies. The review seeks to ensure the policies are relevant, facilitate appropriate community and built form outcomes, and are up to date with current State Government legislative requirements.

Draft Revised LPP 37 'Community Consultation on Planning Proposals'
Status: Draft revised policy open for public comment. Submissions close 27th May 2021.
Existing LPP 37 'Community Consultation on Planning Proposals' has been revised to improve its format and structure, and ensure its consistency with recent amendments to the Town’s local planning scheme and the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.

Draft Revised LPP 2 'Home-based Businesses'
Status: Draft revised policy open for public comment. Submissions close 27th May 2021.
Existing LPP 2 'Home Occupation' has been revised and renamed to ensure consistency with recent amendments to the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015, as well as to provide policy guidance in relation to the full scope of home-based business activities that may be conducted in accordance with the Town’s local planning scheme.

Revised LPP 29 - Public Art Private Developer Contribution
Status: Closed and adopted at Ordinary Council Meeting of 17 March 2020
Existing Local Planning Policy 29 has been reviewed and revised to improve the number, quality and process of public artworks facilitated through the private development process.

Revised LPP 28 - State Administrative Tribunal Applications for Review
Status: Closed and adopted at Ordinary Council Meeting of 17 March 2020
Existing Local Planning Policy (LPP) 28 has been reviewed and revised to broaden its scope and outline the Town’s general approach and consideration of applications for review by the State Administrative Tribunal.

Revised LPP 7 - Development and Vehicle Access to Properties Abutting Rights-of-Way
Status: Closed and adopted at Ordinary Council Meeting of 17 March 2020
Existing Local Planning Policy (LPP) 7 - Vehicle Access to Properties Via a Right-of-Way has been reviewed and revised to improve its format and structure, and introduce new provisions for development abutting rights-of-way including building setbacks, surveillance, landscaping, lighting and fencing.

Revised LPP 34 - Sea Containers
Status: Closed and adopted at Ordinary Council Meeting of 16 July 2019
Existing Local Planning Policy (LPP) 34 - Sea Containers has been revised to improve its format and structure, update out-dated terminology and amend the provisions relating to the use of sea containers for non-residential purposes.

Revised LPP 8 - Sunbury Park Site Design Guidelines
Status: Closed and adopted at Ordinary Council Meeting of 16 July 2019
Existing Local Planning Policy (LPP) 8 - Sunbury Park Site Design Guidelines has been revised to improve its format and structure, update outdated terminology, address minor inconsistencies between Parts A and B of the guidelines, and improve the diagrams contained within the policy.

Revised LPP 2 - Home Occupation
Status: Closed and adopted at Ordinary Council Meeting of 18 June 2019
Existing Local Planning Policy (LPP) 2 - Home Occupation has been revised to provide clearer policy objectives, clarify the circumstances where development approval is required, and better outline the range of matters to be considered by Council when assessing home occupation proposals.

Revised LPP 31 - Serviced Apartments and Residential Buildings including Short Term Accommodation
Status: Closed and adopted at Ordinary Council Meeting of 16 April 2019
Existing Local Planning Policy (LPP) 31 - Specialised Forms of Accommodation Other Than Dwellings has been revised to consolidate and remove duplicated provisions, improve the locational criteria used to assess proposals and clarify the matters to be addressed in the management plans prepared for short term accommodation proposals as well as other forms of accommodation falling within the land use definition of Residential Building.

Revised LPP 37 - Community Consultation on Planning Proposals
Status: Closed and adopted at Ordinary Council Meeting of 11 December 2018
Existing LPP 37 - Community Consultation on Planning Proposals has been reviewed and revised to improve its format and readability, consolidate and revise the consultation requirements for a number of development/land use types, and link the policy to the Town’s Strategic Community Plan.
