VicVision
Consultation has concluded
The Town is undertaking a major review of its highest level planning document, the Strategic Community Plan (SCP).
The SCP is the blueprint for the Town and outlines the vision, outcomes and priorities for our community over a twelve-year period.
Under the Local Government Act 1995, the Town is required to undertake a major review of the SCP every four years. The current SCP is for the period 2017 - 2032 and once revised will be for the period 2022 - 2034.
VicVision is the project that is delivering a Strategic Community Plan that is functional, measurable and genuinely informed by the community.
What's happening now?
The Strategic Community Plan 2022-2034 was adopted by Council on 12 April 2022. You can view the minutes on the Town's website.
The strategy comes into effect on 1 July 2022. A copy of the strategy will be made available on the Town's website by this date.

Everyone is so kind and helpful and supportive of the strip!
0 comment3via Mobileabout 3 years agoWhat makes the town unique is our cafe strip, proximity to the river, stadium, casino and other popular venues. It’s parks
are large and widely used by a diverse group of people, families, sporting clubs, dogs etc. Inert city living meets suburbia!
0 comment1via Mobileabout 3 years agoClose proximity to CBD and the grassroots, down to earth community vibe. Authenticity not stuffy. We are warm, friendly and
happy. Hope this helps.

Governments are no where near doing enough to look after the environment for future generations. Plastic needs to be gotten rid of 100%. We need to move away from things that are contributing to climate change and start investing in alternative solutions e.g. wind and solar. Anything that can only be used once is not sustainable and re-education needs to occur for businesses and laws-makers.
