THE GOOD DAY OUT SUSTAINABILITY FAIR

Consultation has concluded

The Town of Victoria Park, together with local community groups, is looking to organise a sustainability-focused event on 22 October 2016 from 12 noon to 5pm at John MacMillan Park to coincide with the national Garage Sale Trail which the Town has been involved in over the last few years.

We have received a huge amount of Expressions of Interest and are currently assessing them. Our event will incorporate different sections (or Guilds):

  • Entertainment
  • Food and Drink
  • Education/Information
  • Stallholders (Commercial and Not for Profit)
  • Suitcase Market Stall
  • Mend and Repair

all adhering to a strict sustainability criteria ('Sustainability Criteria' in the 'Things to Know' section). We are also interested in 'Satellite Events' (events running elsewhere, at the same time, which tie into the event and will be marketed with it). We'd like to run the event as waste-free, carbon neutral and sustainable. If you have an idea for a satellite event, let us know.
