Urban Road Safety Program

Consultation has concluded

As part of Main Roads' Urban Road Safety Program, the Town will be delivering a number of simple, low-cost road safety improvements to ten intersections and two streets across Carlisle, Victoria Park and East Victoria Park.

The upgrades include mini roundabouts, raised platforms and speed hump plateaus. These road treatments are effective, low-cost safety upgrades that don’t require road widening, land changes or service relocations, and can be built quickly.

Full details of the upgrade locations and treatment types are shown below. These neighbourhood cells have been identified by Main Roads WA as areas with above average crash statistics.

Victoria Park

Note: the proposed raised platforms at Cargill/Washington and Cargill/Gloucester will replace the existing, outdated platforms at these intersections.

Carlisle

East Victoria Park

At this stage, the Town expects construction of the road safety upgrades to commence in mid-2023, however timeframes are subject to change and the Town will keep all affected residents informed about any upcoming works.
