Technology Park Area Parking Review 2017

Consultation has concluded

In accordance with the Parking Management Plan, the Town of Victoria Park is undertaking a review of the current parking within Technology Park and exploring options to improve the usability and safety for current and future users.

To achieve the best fit solution for all involved, the Town will be undertaking community consultation in two steps:

  • Survey of all employers and employees located within Technology Park, as well as residents in the immediate vicinity; and
  • Develop an Advisory Group to workshop ideas. Ideally this group would be a cross section of the different populations who work within the area.

The submission and advisory period has ended.

  • There is little capacity at technology park to cater for the large number of peoples vehicles to park. Currently due to the inadequacy of parking space, people are required utilise (where possible) grassed verge areas with little negative environmental impact. My question is will the Town of Victoria Park provide a significant increase of parking space for Technology park employees to park their vehicles, and to cater for visitor parking?

    Thanks for your questions John.

The aim of this review is not to increase or decrease the number of parking bays, rather to consult with the community that requires parking within Technology Park and formalise the arrangement that is considered the best case for all stakeholders. Visitor parking may be catered for by the introduction of some timed parking bays - however this will be dependent on the results of the community consultation.
