Strategic Community Plan review

In 2017 the Town endorsed its new Strategic Community Plan 2017-2032 (SCP). The SCP is the overarching plan to guide the Town over the next 10 years and is broad with a long-term focus and strong emphasis on the community’s long-term vision, values, aspirations and priorities.

The SCP was informed through the Evolve project, which documented our community’s priorities, aspirations and vision. In consideration of the feedback received, the community’s priorities and aspirations were grouped into four strategic outcomes:

  • Social - To promote sustainable, connected, safe and diverse places for everyone.
  • Economic - To promote sustainable, diverse, resilient and prosperous places for everyone.
  • Environment - To promote sustainable, liveable, healthy and green places for everyone.
  • Civic leadership - To show leadership by communicating with, empowering and supporting people in the community.

Consultation has closed and the revised SCP has been endorsed by Council. Thank you to all that were involved.
