    The Town of Victoria Park's Economic Development Strategy: Pathways to Growth 2018 - 2023 provides a 5 year vision and blueprint for sustainable economic growth in the Town. The Strategy has been developed in conjunction with the Town's Economic Development Committee and informed through valuable contributions from local businesses.

  • Amendment No. 78 to Town Planning Scheme No. 1

    The Council at its meeting on 13 February 2018 resolved to initiate Amendment 78 to Town Planning Scheme No. 1, which proposes re-coding and development standards to the property located at No. 384 (Lot 3) Berwick Street, East Victoria Park.


  • Bin advertising trial

    The Town has begun a trial campaign in partnership with Keep Australia Beautiful Council and Natsales Advertising to promote anti-litter and community messages to our community.

  • Proposed dog exercise area

    In 2013, the Dog Act 1976 (Act) was reviewed by the State Government with a number of amendments being made to the act. As a result of those amendments, local laws can no longer be used to prescribe dog exercise areas and dog prohibited areas.

  • Old Places, New Spaces

    'Old Places, New Spaces' is a program targeting places within the Town that can be renewed and upgraded for greater community use and benefit. This program was developed following a Council resolution to investigate alternative options for the use of laneways and intersections along Albany Hwy and was later broadened by the Town to include all public areas of interest, also know as the public realm.

  • Mobile Food Vendor Policy

    he Town of Victoria Park has developed a Draft Mobile Food Vendor Policy to guide the location, operation and regulation of mobile food vendors (e.g. food trucks) within our local government area.

  • Review of wards and representation

    The Town of Victoria Park is conducting a review of its ward representation and invites public participation in the review.

  • Proposed Aqualife and Leisurelife Cafe Leases

    The Town proposes to grant two leases to Onca Enterprises Pty Ltd.

  • State Street Traffic Calming

    The Town of Victoria Park is currently exploring a range of traffic calming measures in State Street between Gloucester Street and Berwick Street. A Petition was received on the 3rd November 2017 signed by 55 residents in State Street expressing their concerns on vehicle speeds, cut-through traffic and safety of children crossing State Street.

  • Urban Forest Strategy

    The Vic Park Collective and the Vic Park Trees were engaged by the Town of Victoria Park to write an Urban Forest Strategy. The result of a community-initiated and community driven process, the strategy is needed to expand and better manage trees within our Town - on both public and private land - and to achieve our tree canopy target of 20%as adopted by our Town's Council.
