Local Planning Policy 42 - Vehicular Access for Residential Development

Consultation has concluded

Draft Local Planning Policy 42 - Vehicular Access for Residential Development has been prepared to restrict the number of vehicle crossovers to a development site to maximise opportunities for on-street parking and to protect street trees.

The Draft Local Planning Policy addresses matters not covered by the R-Codes and provides guidance as to those matters the Town will consider under the design principles. The draft policy aims to:

  • limit the number of crossovers
  • guide crossover and driveway design and materials
  • require removal of redundant crossovers.

Where can I view the draft policy?

The draft Local Planning Policy is available to view in the document library and at the Town's Administration building and the library.
