The Town is trialling a number of parking changes near Ursula Frayne Primary School to reduce traffic congestion, increase available 'pick up and set down' zones and improve accessibility onto the school grounds.
With the support of Ursula Frayne Primary School, the following parking changes will be trialled from December 2021 until the end of school term 2 next year (1 July 2022) and will only apply on school days between 7.30-9am and 2.30-4pm.
Balmoral Street
Extend the existing ‘pick up and set down’ zone by replacing the current 15-minute parking area with additional ‘pick up and set down’ zones.
Camberwell Street
Create a new ‘pick up and set down’ zone by replacing the current 15-minute parking area, thereby allowing ‘pick up and set down’ traffic to be split across both sides of the school grounds.
Archdeacon Street
The creation of new 15-minute parking bays on the side-verge area adjacent to 46 Camberwell Street in lieu of those removed adjacent to the school on Camberwell Street.
