Fencing Local Law

Under section 3.16(2 & 2a) of the Local Government Act 1995, Local Governments are required to review their Local Laws every eight years.

The Town of Victoria Park is undertaking a review of the Local Laws Relating to Fencing 2000.

What is happening now?

The Town of Victoria Park is undertaking a review of the Local Laws Relating to Fencing 2000. These local laws are made under the Dividing Fences Act 1961 and define what constitutes a 'sufficent fence' within the Town. This includes:

  • What fences can and cannot be made of;
  • What can be put on fences; and
  • Other matters relating to fencing.

Feedback from this review will be used to determine if changes are needed to the Fencing Local Laws in the Town of Victoria Park.

Any comments you wish to make on the proposal are to be submitted by close of business Friday 14 February 2020 by one of the following:
