Vehicle Management Local Law 2020

Consultation has concluded

Under section 3.16(2 & 2a) of the Local Government Act 1995, Local Governments are required to review their Local Laws every eight years.

In February 2020 the Town sought public comment on the review of the Parking and Parking Facilities Local Law 2008.

As a result of this review, the Council has proposed to replace this law with the Vehicle Management Local Law 2020.

The Town of Victoria Park is proposing to make the Vehicle Management Local Law 2020 to replace the Parking and Parking Facilities Local Law 2008. This local law is made under the Local Government Act 1995 and set out a number of matters relating to the management of vehicles.

The purpose of the Vehicle Management Local Law 2020 is to provide for the regulation, control and management of parking and vehicles within the local government.

The effect of the Vehicle Management Local Law 2020 is to regulate parking and vehicles, including where they may stop or park, requiring tickets for parking in certain locations and preventing certain types of vehicles from being in certain locations.
