VICTORIA PARK - No.170 (Lot 2) Washington Street – Change of Use to Residential Building (Short Term Accommodation)

Consultation has concluded

The Town has received a development application for Change of Use to Residential Building (Short Term Accommodation). By way of clarification, a ‘Residential Building’ refers to any form of accommodation other than ‘Dwelling’

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – “Community Consultation on Planning Proposals”, you are invited to comment on the following matters:

  • Proposed Use - A ‘Residential Building’ is classified as an “AA” (discretionary use) within the residential zone under Town Planning Scheme No. 1.
  • Car Parking - The proposed development or use proposes a shortfall in on-site car parking of 2 bays. While 4 bays are required to be provided to comply, 2 bays have been proposed*.

*Two additional cars could fit within the driveway/crossover area, but given that these would not wholly within the property boundary they are not counted as per Local Planning Policy 23 - Car Parking.
