Restart Vic Park

Consultation has concluded

To help Victoria Park move beyond COVID-19 the Town is developing a COVID-19 Action Plan. This plan will outline specific activities aimed at reconnecting our community and reactivating our local economy and is guided the newly adopted COVID-19 Response Strategy.

Overseen by the COVID-19 Response Working Group (CRWG), the development of the Action Plan will come from existing plans and strategies. The outcomes of this Action Plan will also be informed by emerging opportunities and community engagement.

We want to hear from our community on how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted you. What challenges have you faced? How well did the Town respond? What are the changes that you’ve experienced? Share your story and be part of our history.

What is happening now?

Consultation has closed and engagement report is available to view in the Document Library. At the Ordinary Council Meeting in August, Council resolved to adopt the COVID-19 Action Plan. The Ordinary Council Meeting minutes can be found in the Document Library. This document will continue to evolve as the needs of our community change. Thank you to all involved that shared their stories and feedback.

What is the Statewide Community Resilience Scorecard?

The Statewide Community Resilience Scorecard survey launched 8 June 2020. Funded by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, supported by CATALYSE® and LG Professionals WA, this initiative is separate to the Towns Restart Vic Park survey, but aims to capture the thoughts of all WA residents over the age of 18. We encourage everyone to complete the scorecard by visiting www.research.net/r/MARKYT.

  • You say in the preamble "How well did the Town respond?" Can you let me know what your response was so that I can respond. I am aware of Federal and State responses, but not the response from Victoria Park Council.

SteveHVP asked almost 4 years ago

Hi Steve. The Town responded to the COVID-19 Pandemic by following WA Government restrictions, communicating closures and Government announcements, supported local businesses, community groups, residents and people in need, promotion of hygiene and social distancing and engaging with it's community -  just to name a few.

We have a dedicated space on our website if you would like to know more.
