The Town of Victoria Park proposes to make a Local Law to repeal the Signs Local Law 2006. This is proposed due to the creation of our Local Planning Policy 38 - Signs
The purpose of this local law is to repeal those local laws no longer relevant within the Town of Victoria Park.
The effect of this local law is to repeal obsolete or outdated local laws within the Town of Victoria Park.

Electronic copy can be viewed in the document library or a hard copy may be inspected between Monday 21 January 2019 and Friday 15 March 2019, at the Town of Victoria Park Administration Centre, 99 Shepperton Road, Victoria Park or at the Victoria Park Library, 27 Sussex Street, East Victoria Park.

Any comments you wish to make on the proposal are to be submitted by close of business Monday, 4 March 2019, by one of the following:

Thanks for your question.
A local law is a law made by Council (Town of Victoria Park) in accordance with the Local Government Act 1995. The Town can make local laws in response to particular items in its local government area, and to ensure the good rule and government of its area.
Last year we undertook a process to create a new planning policy for Signs, which was adopted by Council at it's Ordinary Council Meeting.
We are now seeking to remove the Local Law for Signs as this is a duplication.
