Optus Stadium - Regulation 19B venue approval for sporting, cultural and entertainment events
Consultation has concluded
The Town of Victoria Park received an application from the operator of Optus Stadium (VenuesLive Management Services (WA) P/L as Agent of VenuesWest) for a venue approval under regulation 19B of the Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997 (the ”noise regulations”).
The Town's CEO acting under the Environment Protection Act 1986, has made the appealable decision to;
- approval of venue
- the imposition of condition of the approval of the venue; and
- the specification of the period of three(3) years as the period of which the approval has effect

How can I make an appeal?
Any person who is aggrieved by the decision may lodge an appeal within 21 days from the date of publication of this notice in the Government Gazette (published 11/02/2020) and the grounds of appeal must be clearly stated. Appeals can be submitted by one of the following;
- In writing to the Minister for Environment and lodged with Appeals Convenor for the Environmental Protection Act, Level 22, Forrest Centre, 221 St Georges Terrace, PERTH WA 6000
- Appeals can also be lodged by hand delivery
- Email to admin@appealsconvenor.wa.gov.au
- Fax to (08) 6467 5199 and must be accompanied by a $50 fee.
