The Town has received a development application for Additions (Residential). The application proposes additions to the side and rear of an existing weatherboard house.

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – “Community Consultation on Planning Proposals”, you are invited to comment on the following matters:

  • North Eastern Boundary Wall – Boundary wall to the north eastern boundary with a maximum height of 3.6 metres and an average height of 3.47 metres above natural ground level in lieu of a maximum height of 3.5 metres and an average height of 3 metres as permitted under Council’s Local Planning Policy – Boundary Walls.
  • North Western Boundary Wall – A boundary wall to the north western boundary with a maximum height of 3.8 metres and an average height of 3.8 above natural ground level in lieu of a maximum height of 3.5 metres and an average height of 3 metres as permitted under Council’s Local Planning Policy – Boundary Walls.
  • Visual Privacy– The Residential Design Codes prescribes minimum setback distances for unscreened major openings from boundaries in order to achieve a reasonable level of privacy. The application proposes variations as follows:
    • Proposed walkway/veranda to north western boundary – 7.5 metres required; 4.8 metres proposed.
    • Proposed walkway/veranda to north eastern boundary – 7.5 metres required; 5.5 metres proposed.
