  • Carport - Street setback – Council’s Local Planning Policy – Streetscape requires that a carport be setback a minimum of 1.5 metres from the street. The application proposes a carport with a minimum setback to Band Street of 1.1 metres.
  • Carport - Boundary setback/quantity of posts – Council’s Local Planning Policy – Streetscape requires that, where a carport is to be located within 1.0 metre of a side boundary that the carport have a maximum of two (2) posts to the side boundary an a total of four (4) posts supporting the structure. The application proposes a carport with three (3) posts abutting the side boundary and a total of six (6) posts supporting the structure.
