Community Group and Club Development Plan

Thanks for taking the time to provide us with your feedback!

The Town of Victoria Park is developing its first Community Group and Club Development Plan to guide our investment in programs, events and facilities for local clubs and groups.

In order to do this effectively, we want to hear from you – community members with firsthand experience – so we can best understand your needs and ensure we are taking an evidence-based approach to sporting club and community group development in the Town.

How you can help

We will be gathering your feedback in two ways.

Face-to-Face Interactive Design Workshops

All members of clubs and community groups in the Town are invited to either of two workshops to be held:

  • 11am-1pm, Friday 27 June, Town of Victoria Park Administration Building
  • 5-7pm, Friday 27 June, Town of Victoria Park Administration Building

These hands-on sessions will bring together local Sporting Clubs and Community Groups to co-design a plan that strengthens relationships, builds capacity and ensures long-term sustainability.

Through open consultation and regular check-ins, we’ll gather your insights to create a plan that truly reflects the needs and aspirations of our community. Together, we’ll explore new ways to improve governance, unlock training and development opportunities, and better connect our community with the groups and clubs that bring it to life.

Ideas Wall

For those unable to make the workshops, or who want to start providing feedback right away, see our Ideas Wall further down this page! Feedback closes 6 July.

Think of it as a digital whiteboard where you can leave thoughts and ideas and begin to brainstorm with us and your fellow community members.

We've started the discussion with some basic questions you might wish to respond to. Or you can choose to ignore our questions entirely and leave your thoughts on other club or group-themed topics.

Below are some things you might want to consider:

  • Be the voice of the local community: Tell us about the emerging trends and unique needs of your sporting club or community group.

  • Needs analysis: Tell us where we can play a role in building partnerships, coordinating service delivery, leveraging resources, providing relevant capacity-building initiatives and/or advocating for overall community wellbeing.

  • Common challenges: Help us identify the common hurdles that hold your club or group back from success and growth.

Remember, be as specific as you can – the more detail we have, the better we'll be able to consider your thoughts in the Plan. Your voice matters, be part of the conversation and help us build a stronger, more connected Victoria Park.
