Burswood South Streetscape Improvement Plan

Consultation has concluded

The Burswood South Streetscape Improvement Plan will guide the revitalisation of streets and public spaces in the Burswood South mixed-use precinct over the next 10 years.  The Plan seeks to transform Burswood and Teddington Roads into an attractive and thriving precinct linking the Burswood Peninsula to Albany Highway.

Key proposals in the plan include new street tree planting and landscaped verges, rain gardens, public alfresco seating areas, widened footpaths and improved pedestrian crossings, additional on-street parking bays, traffic calming measures, public artwork, and the investigation of the potential for underground power.

What's happening now?

The draft Burswood South Streetscape Improvement Plan was advertised for public comment between 18 October and 8 November, 2021.  

Public submissions have been assessed and a final Plan was presented to the 15 March Ordinary Council meeting for consideration, where it was adopted. The final plan and report can be viewed at https://www.victoriapark.wa.gov.au/About-Council/Council-meetings/Minutes-Agendas
