Amendment No. 2 to Burswood Lakes Structure Plan

Consultation has concluded

The Town of Victoria Park has received an application for an amendment to the Burswood Lakes Structure Plan.

Amendment No. 2 has been prepared on behalf of Mirvac, with the proposed changes relating to:

  • Dwelling density and yield;
  • Building envelopes – including building height, plot ratio and setbacks;
  • Lot patterns and sizes;
  • Public open space and. publicly accessible land;
  • Traffic modelling;
  • Car parking;
  • Public art contribution;
  • Landscaping;
  • Land use; and
  • Sustainability

The amendment primarily focuses on Mirvac’s undeveloped land at Lot 9001 Bow River Crescent, Burswood (referred to in the structure plan as Lots 1 & 21).

The Burswood Lakes Structure Plan was first adopted in 2003 and amended in 2017. A copy of the approved structure plan and amendment can be viewed in the Document library on this page.

What is a structure plan?

A structure plan can be prepared for a variety of planning purposes, but generally indicates the way in which an area is proposed for development as well as providing a broad framework to guide Council when it considers subdivision and development proposals.

Who will make a decision on this application?

The decision-maker for this structure plan amendment is the Western Australian Planning Commission.

Following closure of the consultation period, all submissions received will be considered by the Town’s Urban Planning Unit before a report is presented to Council for recommendation. Everyone who provides feedback will receive notice inviting them to attend the Council meeting.
