The Town has received a development application for Change of Use to Residential Building (Short Term Accommodation).

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – “Community Consultation on Planning Proposals”, you are invited to comment on the following matters:

  • Proposed Use - A ‘Residential Building’ is classified as an “AA” (discretionary use) within the residential zone under Town Planning Scheme No. 1.
  • Car Parking - The proposed development or use proposes a shortfall in on-site car parking of 1 bays. While 3 bays are required to be provided to comply, 2 bays have been proposed.

By way of clarification, a ‘Residential Building’ refers to any form of accommodation other than ‘Dwelling’.
