BURSWOOD – No.16 (Lot No.21, 222, 236, 237 & 238) Hampton Street – Proposed modifications to Existing Lodging House

Consultation has concluded

The Town has received a development application for the proposed modifications to Existing Lodging House.

In accordance with Local Planning Policy – Community Consultation on Planning Proposals, you are invited to comment on the following matters:

  • Car Parking - The proposed use proposes a shortfall in on-site car parking of 23 bays. While 38 bays are required to be provided to comply, 15 bays have been proposed.

The existing Lodging House was granted approved at the Council Meeting of 27 March 1984. The approved plans proposed a total of 41 car bays at the rear with access of Clydesdale Street, however these car bays were never constructed.

The proposed use will retain the Lodging House use as a Homeless Shelter for women. Additional security measures will be put in place including CCTV, security doors, sensor lights and any other measures the Security Advisors make.
