Consultation has concluded

The Town has received a development application for Additions (Two Storey) to Single House. The application proposes to construct a second storey addition to the existing weatherboard dwelling on stumps on the subject site.

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – “Community Consultation on Planning Proposals”, before Council determines this application you are invited to comment on the following:

  • Secondary Street Setback – Council’s Local Planning Policy – Streetscape requires a 3.0 metres minimum secondary street setback from Berwick Street. The application proposes a setback of 2.423 metres to 3.435 metres to Berwick Street.
  • Building Height – The Residential Design Codes permit the proposed dwelling to have a maximum wall height of 6.0 metres and maximum ridge height of 9.0 metres. The proposed second storey addition to the existing house on stumps is to have a maximum wall height of 6.719 metres to 7.035 metres on the sloping site, with a maximum 8.5 metres ridge height, measured from the natural ground level.
