1.

In your opinion, what are the three most valuable benefits that a healthy urban forest provides to the community? (select three options)

The Town’s Urban Forest Strategy 2019-2025 aims to increase tree canopy, improve biodiversity, enhance the Town’s public open spaces, and encourage community involvement with urban greening.

2.

How effectively do you think the Town has been achieving these goals?

Urban greening isn’t just about parks, verges, and public spaces – it also extends to private properties. As our community grows, preserving nature on private land and encouraging residents to green their own spaces is more important than ever.

To support this, the Town provides free plants through our annual giveaway, offers free planting workshops, and shares educational resources to help residents create and maintain their own green spaces. We’re also developing new local planning policies to protect established trees on private property.
