Strategic Waste Management Plan 2025-2030

Waste Management in the Town of Victoria Park

Waste management is one of the most crucial municipal services provided by the Town of Victoria Park. It encompasses not only the disposal of waste but also the recovery of resources, making it a key component of the Town's environmentally sustainable practices.

In 2008, the Town developed a Strategic Waste Minimisation Plan in response to the State Government’s commitment to minimising waste creation, efficiently recovering, treating, and reusing waste, and disposing of waste responsibly. This plan has guided significant changes implemented by the Town and the Mindarie Regional Council.

To continue optimising waste management and deliver the best outcomes for the community, the Town now requires a new Strategic Waste Management Plan for the next five years. This new plan will address the evolving challenges and changes in the waste management industry.
