Pedestrian/Cyclist Perspective Towards City of Perth

The Town has received a development application from planning consultant, Element on behalf of the Causeway Link Alliance for the proposed Causeway Pedestrian and Cyclist Bridges Project.

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – “Community Consultation on Planning Proposals”, the application is being advertised for public comments. The proposed works comprise the following :

  • The construction of two cable-stayed bridges, one of 250m linking McCallum Park in the Town of Victoria Park to Heirisson Island and one of 140m linking Heirisson Island to Point Fraser in the City of Perth.
  • Associated works in McCallum Park, including the pedestrian and cyclist network, landscaping, community gathering spaces and lighting.
