The Town has prepared two local planning policies to protect and encourage the retention and planting of trees on private land, Draft Local Planning Policy &ndash; Tree Retention (LPP39) and Draft Local Planning Policy 45 &ndash; Tree Planting for Non-Residential Development (LPP45). </div><div class="OutlineElement Ltr SCXW199468876 BCX8"><h2 class="Paragraph SCXW199468876 BCX8">Draft LPP39 &ndash; Tree Retention </h2></div><div class="OutlineElement Ltr SCXW199468876 BCX8">This policy requires development approval for the removal or damage to any tree on private property which is classified as a Regulated Tree. The Town of Victoria Park Place Plans are a collection of &lsquo;place-based&rsquo; action plans that guide the allocation of funding and resources in the Town&rsquo;s neighbourhoods.The Place Plans are the culmination of a review and analysis of the Town&rsquo;s informing strategies and plans; a review of relevant data sets; and a current understanding of best practice.The result is an easy to navigate list of work the Town will undertake in each of its neighbourhoods over a four year period.<h3>What is happening now?</h3>A report was presented to Council at the September Ordinary Council Meeting with a recommendation to approve the plans.
