Design Reference Group reconvenes for workshop 3

Following the transition to online engagement for workshop 2 due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Higgins Park and Playfield Reserve DRG were able to meet again in person for workshop 3 in June. The focus of this third workshop was to explore the community and landscape elements that bind the park together. These elements – including walking and cycling paths, playscapes, tree planting, barbeques, picnic areas, fitness equipment and public toilets – are the elements that ensure all members of the community are able to enjoy the amenity of the parks.

This workshop was intended to be the final formalised engagement with the DRG, however in response to requests from some participants, and as agreed by all participants present, the Town has planned a fourth workshop to allow DRG participants to provide comment on the draft masterplan options.
