Teach people how to: * reduce, re-use and recycle anything in their household * demonstrate alternatives to anything involving plastic in the household * composting kitchen scraps * teach our children not to litter * promoting awareness of what impacts our convenience -orientated lifestyle has on our direct surrounding environment and the global environment * ... to be continued

Live music - pop up concerts in all ToVP parks - promoting local artists

Would be great to have live music in all of ToVP's parks throughout the celebrations (motto: 25 bands in 25 locations - if possible). Promote and support local artists of all genres and bands of all sizes. Bring the community together to celebrate diversity in music. Make is small 'pop up' events with small stages and as little infrastructure as possible to have a grass root feel to it. Could also be a live performance 'rally', where multiple concerts happen on the same day, staggered by e.g. 30 mins gaps to make it a 'walk the line' music event where people walk from one concert to the next. Have contacts to a Jazz Guitar trio, a jazz quartet and a big band, all keen to perform. Note: funding required to adequately pay the artists.

Kensington Bushland - guided walk

a 50 mins (2x25) minutes guided walk through Kensington Bushland in the morning (9-10AM), with bird expert and the Manager for Natural Areas at ToVP. Displaying the beauty of our park gem!
