Consultation has concluded

The Town has received a development application for a Single House.

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – “Community Consultation on Planning Proposals”, you are invited to comment on the following matters:

  • Primary Street Setback – Council’s Local Planning Policy – Streetscape requires a minimum street setback of 6.0 metres to any lot boundary wall. The application proposes a setback to Whittlesford Street of 4.4 metres to a lot boundary wall.
  • Garage Setback & Projection – Council’s Local Planning Policy – Streetscape requires minimum setback street of 4.5m to a garage. In addition to this, the policy requires that a garage project forward of the dwelling by no more than 1m. The application proposes a garage that is setback 4.4m from Whittlesford Street, and projects approximately 3.8m forward of the dwelling.
  • Boundary Setbacks– The Residential Design Codes prescribes the minimum setback distance of buildings from boundaries other than the street. The application proposes variations to the setback of the following walls:
    • Ground Floor wall to Bathroom – 1.5 metres required; 1 metres proposed to north western boundary.
