Visual Privacy– The Residential Design Codes prescribes minimum setback distances for unscreened major openings from boundaries in order to achieve a reasonable level of privacy. The application proposes variations as follows:
Balcony to the southern rear boundary in common with 50A Howick Street with a cone of vision setback of approximately 5.8 metres, in lieu of 7.5m cone of vision setback required.
Balcony to the northern front boundary in common with 37 Egham Road with a cone of vision setback of approximately 6.3 metres, in lieu of 7.5m cone of vision setback required.
