Arts and Culture Plan Review

The Town of Victoria Park is calling for community feedback to review its Arts and Culture Plan. Over the coming months, we’ll be connecting with the community to understand aspirations, challenges, and opportunities to strengthen and support arts and culture in Vic Park.

Whether you're an artist, a local business owner, or simply passionate about creativity, we want to hear from you.

Why Arts and Culture matter

Arts and culture play an important role in welcoming new residents to the Town, attracting visitors, and creating vibrant, inclusive places for everyone.

  • Arts encompasses a wide range of creative expressions, including music, dance, film, writing and performance, as well as a diversity of visual arts such as painting, sculpture, murals, and craftsmanship.
  • Culture reflects the shared values, traditions, creativity, and connections that shape our community and our sense of place.

In 2020, the Town introduced its first Arts and Culture Plan to support our thriving creative scene. The plan focused on planning for programming and infrastructure investment, creating pathways for relationships and partnerships, and improving accessibility and inclusivity in the arts.

Now, five years on, and it's time to review and refine the plan. Before proceeding, we encourage everyone to review the existing Arts and Culture Plan.
