Consultation has concluded
The Town has received a development application for a community facility/boat shed incorporating a café and function room and associated decking, with two boat sheds on the lower level at the above-mentioned property.

In accordance with Local Planning Policy – Community Consultation on Planning Proposals, you are invited to comment on the following matters:
- Proposed use – A ‘Recreation and Sports Centre (Boat Shed)’ is classified as an “AA” (discretionary use) within the ‘Special Use’ zone under Belmont Park Racecourse Redevelopment Structure Plan.
- Proposed use – The proposed development incorporates a ‘Community Purpose’ use which is a use not listed under the Belmont Park Racecourse Redevelopment Structure Plan and is therefore classified as an “Unlisted Use”.
- Car parking – The proposed development requires 125 car bays and proposes no on-site car parking bays. Notwithstanding this, 59 on-street car bays have been provided within the Placid Avenue and Balbuk Way road reserve.
