The Town has received a development application for a Single House. The application proposes a new two storey dwelling at the address.

  • Primary Street Setback – Council’s Local Planning Policy – Streetscape requires a minimum street setback of 3 metres. The application proposes a minimum setback of 2 metres to the upper floor.
  • Height of Boundary Wall – A boundary wall to the north-east (side) boundary with a maximum and average height of 3.7 metres above natural ground level in lieu of a maximum height of 3.5 metres and average height of 3 metres as permitted under Council’s Local Planning Policy – Boundary Walls.
  • Visual Privacy – The Residential Design Codes prescribes minimum setback distances for upper outdoor living areas in order to achieve a reasonable level of privacy. The application proposes a variation to the upper deck to north-east (side) boundary with a minimum 7.5 metres required; 5.5 metres proposed.
