BURSWOOD - No.103-107 (Lot 37) Burswood Road – Retrospective Change Of Use (Recreation – Private)
Consultation has concluded
The Town has received a development application for a retrospective Change of Use for a ‘Recreation – Private’ (gym) land use. The retrospective application has applied to operate a private training gymnasium at the above address. The use and associated signage has been operating and erected respectively without authorisation from the Town.
In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – “Community Consultation on Planning Proposals”, you are invited to comment on the following matters:
- Proposed Use - A ‘Recreation-Private (gym)’ use is classified as an “AA” (discretionary use) within the Residential/Commercial zone under Town Planning Scheme No. 1.
- Car Parking - The proposed use demonstrates a shortfall in on-site car parking of 5 bays. While 9 bays are required to be provided to comply, 4 bays have been proposed. The applicant has justified the car parking shortfall against the nature of the business.
