The Town has received a development application for Additions (Residential). The application proposes a rear addition located behind an ‘Original Dwelling’.
In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – “Community Consultation on Planning Proposals”, you are invited to comment on the following matters:
- Maximum Height of Boundary Wall – A boundary wall to the south east side boundary with a maximum height of 3.6 metres above natural ground level in lieu of a maximum height of 3.5 metres as permitted under Council’s Local Planning Policy – Boundary Walls.
- Average Height of Boundary Wall – A boundary wall to the south east side boundary with an average height of 3.3 metres above natural ground level in lieu of an average height of 3 metres as permitted under Council’s Local Planning Policy – Boundary Walls.
- Visual Privacy – The Residential Design Codes prescribes minimum setback distances for major openings to habitable rooms from boundaries in order to achieve a reasonable level of privacy. The application proposes variations as follows:
- Enclosed alfresco to south eastern boundary – 6 metres required; 2.7metres proposed
